Open Med Practice was born out of a sincere effort to help the doctors that its parent company JSE.net were doing tech support. We saw a genuine need in the medical community of the 5 doctors or less practice. We launched www.openmedpractice.com and cheaperm.com to give doctors an alternative to high priced EMR software products on the market.
Since the doctor market if flooded with electronic medical record programs all saying that they are the best and use me. It is hard to stand out from the crowd of over 400 vendors in the US alone. The industry can't get any venture capital money because the market is so full and there is no way to be a clear cut front runner in the minds of most venture capitalist.
Open Med Practice is seeking to grow the old fashion way, one client at a time. We are would like to and 5 doctors a month to our list of clients. This is a slow but steady pace and would give us the opportunity to get to know each one of our doctor personally.
